PDF & Image Tools

About

I built PDF & Image Tools so you can compress, convert, and edit PDFs and images without ever uploading them. Everything runs in your browser, and your files never leave your device.

Built by Swathik, the solo developer behind PDF & Image Tools.

Why I built this

Most online file tools work the same way: you upload your document to someone's server, wait, then download it back, often with a watermark stamped on it, a daily limit, or a sign-up wall in the way. For something as ordinary as resizing a photo to an exact size for a government form, that means handing a personal file to a stranger's server just to get it back a little smaller.

That always felt backwards to me. Modern browsers are more than capable of doing this work themselves, so I built a set of tools that do exactly that, on your own device, with nothing sent anywhere.

What I believe

  • Privacy by default. Your files are processed on your device and never uploaded. I could not see them even if I wanted to.
  • Genuinely free. No accounts, no daily caps, and no watermarks on your results.
  • Fast and direct. With no upload and no server queue, the work starts the moment you drop a file in.
  • Built for real tasks. Exact file-size targets for forms and portals, batch processing, and tools that respect your time.

How it is different

Every tool runs in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly. There is no server doing the work, so there is no server that can leak, log, or keep your files. You can read more about the how and the why on the How It Works page.
