What size should a PAN card photo be?

For a PAN application (NSDL/Protean or UTIITSL) the photo is a JPG of about 20 to 50 KB and the signature 10 to 20 KB, at a recommended 213 × 213 px. This tool compresses your photo to 50 KB in the browser; if you also need to set the pixel size, resize it first.
