What 4K (3840×2160) Is For
4K UHD is 3840 × 2160 px, about 8.3 megapixels: a 16:9 ratio with four times the pixels of Full HD (1920×1080). It's the native resolution of most 4K monitors and TVs, so a 4K image fills the screen with crisp detail. Common uses: • Wallpapers for 4K monitors, laptops and TVs • 4K video projects and editing timelines • High-resolution displays, digital signage and print previews • Detailed graphics where you want maximum sharpness Start big (this matters most for 4K): • 4K only looks sharp if your source is large enough. For a genuinely crisp result your photo should be at least ~8 MP (around 3840×2160 or larger). A typical phone photo, 12 MP and up, is plenty; a small web image is not. • Enlarging a smaller image to 3840×2160 can't add real detail, so it looks soft. We show a warning whenever an image is being upscaled. How to use this page: • "Fill" crops your photo to a clean 16:9 at 4K • Tap "Adjust" for 1440p or Full HD, or enter any custom size
