Watermark Image

Why watermark an image?

If you share photos online, a watermark is how you keep your name on them. Stamp your handle across a photo before it goes on social media, mark a proof as a preview, or put a logo on product shots so they stay recognisably yours when they get reposted. It's a visible claim of authorship that travels with the picture. Use text or a logo. For text, type your name or handle, pick from a range of fonts, then set the size, colour, opacity and angle. For a logo, upload an image (a PNG with a transparent background works best) and size it to taste. Place the mark in a corner or the centre, drag it exactly where you want, or tile it across the whole image so it can't simply be cropped out. Save as JPG, PNG or WebP. Everything is done in your browser, so your photos and your logo are never uploaded. Keep in mind this is a visible watermark, a deterrent rather than a lock: it marks the image as yours but won't stop a determined editor from painting it out.

How do I add a watermark to a photo online for free?

Add either a text watermark (your name or handle in your chosen font, colour and opacity) or a logo image, then place it in a corner, drag it anywhere, or tile it across the whole photo at any angle before saving as JPG, PNG or WebP. It all happens in your browser, so the photo and logo are never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use my logo, or only text?
Either. Switch to Text to stamp your name or handle in the font, colour and size you choose, or switch to Logo to upload an image and place it on the photo. You use one or the other per image.
Can I tile the watermark so it can't be cropped off?
Yes. Turn on Repeat and the watermark tiles across the whole image, which is far harder to crop out than a single corner mark; rotate the mark first if you want the tiles to run at an angle. With tiling off, you can snap it to a corner or the centre, or drag it anywhere.
Can I change the opacity and angle?
Yes. Set the opacity from a faint hint to fully solid, and rotate the mark to any angle, including a diagonal sweep across the photo.
Can I watermark a whole batch the same way?
Yes. Add several photos and choose Apply to All so every image gets the same watermark, then download them individually or as a ZIP. Photos you add afterwards inherit the current settings.
Is the watermark permanent and tamper-proof?
It's a visible mark drawn onto the image, not encryption. It's a strong deterrent, especially when tiled, but a determined person with an editor could still try to remove it. It marks ownership; it doesn't lock the file.
Are my photos uploaded to add the watermark?
No. The watermark is composited entirely in your browser, so neither your photo nor your logo is ever sent to a server.
